i agree with the weight thing.

the guy was tiny...

i remember lots of stories about how some of the bigger guys on set would creep up behind him, pick him up, put him on their shoulders and run about like a madman!

well, he always admitted that there were guys at yip man's place that he couldn't beat....

strange that these guys were either the born and bred streetfighters or the bigger guys.

kensai your trying to say if bruce lee was still alive he will be defeated easily? i don't think so. i see that i will have to change the world of mma. forget pro wrestling now.

Bruce Lee said once that in a fight between a wrestler and a boxer, most times wrestler would win...

that's because, like Kensai said, it's much more easy to get clinch and takedown, than keep all the fight on your feet.

which brings us to the conterpoint.

if you are good enough to be able to keep it on your feet, then you deserve to win.

too bad not many can.

me?

because i am simply not good enough.

i remember the last time i played with a grappler.

i remember thinking if it was worth trying to struggle out of an attempted hold and risk breaking something or should i just tap.

the fact that i still have both arms in full working order should tell you what i chose...

i still can't see how he got that kinda hold on my arm.

i mean, he showed me slowly but i can't for the life of me see how/why i lost my position.

and then there's my time training with a boxer.

never before have i been slapped around so much.

man, many happy days in that little sports hall.

i think we were the only guys who used it.

oh, and the uni's chinese society who plays their badminton and stuff there.

good times.

I will agree that in a fight the grappler will have a better advantage. Fighting is different than NHB and both are different than self defense.

I would like to see a new gracie challange video like all the ones where they beat all karate, kung fu people, but this time have someone well trained in self defence sitting in a bar. Have a gracie wearing street cloths walk into the bar and walk up the the self defence man, grabs his shirt and threatens him. Keep in mind gracies knows nothing of this man...My bet is that gracies is out in less than 30 seconds...That is how I train in self defense.

I would bet money that it would take a lot longer than thirty seconds. I'm not saying they're invincible, but thirty seconds, I just don't see it happening unless your guy is armed.
