Charles Teixeira Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 Getting ready for a fight with a minimum of roadwork. I got four months to prepare for a fight and I have problems with my feet. They kill me if I run more than 2miles a day. Any ideas on alternative exercises that will give me enough stamina in the ring.
monkeygirl Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 Try a low-impact cardio machine like those elliptical ones. Even a bike would work, as long as you're getting cardio without being on your feet. 1st dan & Asst. Instructor TKD 2000-2003No matter the tune...if you can rock it, rock it hard.
SevenStar Posted December 9, 2003 Posted December 9, 2003 shadow boxing - twelve 3 min rounds jumping rope - five 3 min rounds bag work- eight 3 min rounds then, hit https://www.trainforstrength.com and check out scrapper's bodyweight workouts. If you have access to a partner during these training sessions you're starting, add sparring in.
