Breakdancer Posted December 6, 2003 Posted December 6, 2003 Right now i'm takign a introductory month at a school called Chan kung, i quit my other kung fu cuz i found out they were scamming students, anyways i talked to the instructor about the karate and asked about its lineage, it said that it was created by Jackie Chan, and he wanted to create a way to involve all aspects of self defense, he said jackie chan has trained in traditional kung fu all his life and recently created this art about 20 years ago, anyways is it legit has anyone else heard of chan kung? it seems good, the belt system is white yellow orange red blue purple green brown white/black then black once you get black you can teach class, and black takes about 2 years to obtain. i'm reading this off a brochure right now... so is it legit or what? The instructor said he trained under jackie for 15 years and has won the world championships 5 times., the students seem pretty good too i sparred with them my first day and they were pretty good. what ya guys think?

cross Posted December 6, 2003 Posted December 6, 2003 I would be very careful if you decided to join this school... sounds like a scam to me.
