Allow me to preface

What I am trying to say is that by the time you have reached or gotten close to your Black Belt. I'm sure that you have fought several hundred, if not thousand fights. Also, experiencing what it feels like to badly beat someone. You've tried to destroy bags with punches and kicks. You've been driven past the limit then been driven further...and continued. You've felt more pain during classes than most pro athletes feel in their carreers. You are in top physical condition. And although most Masters and instructors counterbalance your aggresive tendencies with wisdom and ideals,....

Do you ever find yourself going crazy having to hold back the rage you want to unleash on someone who deserves it? Not everyone can be the peaceful master who walks away from a confrontation. Most people that give me their little disrespectful attitudes, have no clue how bad I could hurt them. The worst part is at heart I'm a nice guy, who just happens to have a demon inside fighting to get out. I feel like I'm losing control. Does anyone feel the same or am I alone in this?

In my past life I slayed hundreds

and the life before that

they played trumpets to warn you that I was coming.

No, you are not alone...I hear most serial killers have the same feelings!

How true I kill at least a box or 2 a week :D

First I drown the little $#%%^........in milk..... and then............I I I..... :o

Pain is only temporary, the memory of that pain lasts a lifetime.

Seriously, I find MA to be a great source of stress relief. I actually find myself calmer and more tolerant of those around me.

Maybe its the physical release of agression on animate and inanimate objects, the pure benifit of letting off steam.

Or it could be the knowledge that if you wanted to or needed to do physical damage to those little annoyances in life.........

You could. :brow: (but wouldn't :D )

Its tempting, thats what seperates the common thug from the Martial Artist.

Seems to me like you're overestimating the average black belt...

Anyways, yeah, we all get steamed sometimes. But we just have to remember, if we go around beating up everyone who shows us a disrespectful attitud, we're going to go to jail. Kekekekeke.

I tend to believe in Karma, it all goes around in a circle, what goes around comes around.

Edit: oops, forgot the most important part. MartialArts will build your self esteem massively. Sometimes to the point where ego gets in the way. If you want to beat someone up for showing a little disrespectful attitude, then you're already pushing it.

Actually, and ignoring the effects of mental conditioning, people who fight regularly in a martial art should be less prone to rage (positive effect of exercise).

I also recommend role-playing attacker for SD seminars.. great way to work out aggressions.
