What do you like doing in class?

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I'm just curious as to what you all enjoy to do in your classes. I personally love when we do circuit training, where we can do some of everything and it keeps it really interesting. We do everything from targets (holder calls out combos), bagwork (use all you techniques), sit-ups using the medicine ball, practice your kata and ipon kumite, pus-ups...and lots of others! What do you all enjoy doing?

I can answer this question best when asked the opposite ..."What is it you do not like to do in class?"..

I like doing forms, floor techniques/combos,

target shield kicking, board breaking, no gear one step sparring and full gear SPARRING!!!!! I enjoy circuit training but we don't do that very often...I will have to request it!

Usually what you dislike is what you find you are not that proficient at....and mine is jump kicks. What we usually do at our school is line up folding chairs or stack target shields one on top of each other...(my max. is 5 bags, jumping almost my waist high) but I've seen double that done. Chairs is another thing...it really is a mental block for me...the height and distance is really the same but... chairs = hard and target shields = soft. Pain is the mental block. :dead:

Its not only the technique but the power of the mind to see oneself follow thru and complete.

i like bag and pad work, circuits, beating the c"£p into the dummy named Bob, sparring, partner work...........there isn't much i dislike, yet line work sometimes gets a little monotinous, yet it has to be done! i prefer to be in the action, rather than imagining or pretending i am!

Well - OK Submission Fighter LOL - but since you grapple and I don't, I'm gonna give it all I got - and I hit HARD and I'm used to sparring with guys, so you asked for it!! Hehe...but you'd still kick my butt, I'm sure, cause I'd be toast when you'd get me on the ground grappling!
