Drunken Monkey Posted December 4, 2003 Author Posted December 4, 2003 oi, nothing can beat a good nasi goreng... especially when you're not the one making it! and um, guys don't take this too seriously. like i say, just a little thought.... hmmm, how about a little extension to the original thought. how about a tried and tested effective, efficient martial art taught by a bad teacher or a not too great martial art that might work sometimes taught by an excellent teacher post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
shotokanwarrior Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 You can be a gung fu anything, it is not just for martial arts. A good chef can be a gung fu man. As for the question you will learn more from a good teacher. Where Art ends, nature begins.
Drunken Monkey Posted December 4, 2003 Author Posted December 4, 2003 ...yes well, actually in chinese, while we say that he is a feng shui sifu, we still don't call feng shui a kung fu. feng shui is feng shui. post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
Drunken Monkey Posted December 4, 2003 Author Posted December 4, 2003 um.... man, i wish ther was another cantonese speaking chinese guy on this forum. might be able to help me explain some things... post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
aznkarateboi Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 soi would you rather learn muay thai under a bad teacher or Aznkarateboi's Gumming style under a great teacher?
Drunken Monkey Posted December 4, 2003 Author Posted December 4, 2003 um, i'll think i'll pass... post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
Reklats Posted December 5, 2003 Posted December 5, 2003 Ok, I don't know what YOU guys interpret feng shui as being. The impression I got of it was as a rediculous interior decorating method. Or do some of you actually practice the deadly art of having your furnitur face north? I think Icetuete got it at least...
Sasori_Te Posted December 5, 2003 Posted December 5, 2003 Let's look at it this way: logic would say that (bad teacher/ bad style =0) If a = good teacher and b = good style the (a x 0 = 0) and (b x 0 = 0) Anything times 0 is 0 or any positive times a negative is a negative. You need a little good in both to have solid training. A block is a strike is a lock is a throw.
Drunken Monkey Posted December 5, 2003 Author Posted December 5, 2003 well, why don't you actually read about what feng shui is before saying anything about it? it helps to actually know what you are talking about instead of only having an 'impression' of what it is. post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
