I kinda need some help, please respond!!

Thats all well and good but you kickin' round the bag here. I agree that yes, its a good idea to have an instructor to show me. Im not old enough to join yet. I do plan to when i am though. I know the military is all about shooting, but thats not what im tryin' to do. Im just trying to personalize my style more and adding a few simple and effective moves.Not to mention that I live in a town which is no where near a city with a instructor past Tae Kwon Do USA, which in my opinion is a load of crap. Not to mention that I've taken the instructor who said "You're not experienced enough to fight the older guys!"

 

I put him on the mat...hehe. Anyway, enough of my ramblings.

Well maybe Amazon.com has books or videos on Krav Maga. That's probably the most well known/publicized military system.

 

Try a search there, or Barnes & Noble, perhaps some smaller martial arts online stores.

have a look at Paul Vunak's videos. I watched one of his videos. I think it was called real self defence or something like that. I really don't think it gets more simple and effective then his system. He also teaches the military.

 

I've looked at Kav Maga, but i think a lot of it is just ju jutsu passed off as Krav Maga (i think KM is a bit of a buzz word at the moment). I have friends who are Israeli Para's and they claim a lot of the self defence they are taught involve defending yourslef with an unloaded rifle and defence against the 3 most common arab knife attacks, probably not really what your looking for!

You never know when you could put somethin' like that to good use! Either way, thanx for your help on the subject(not including TKD_McGee, who I give the official title of fashist for his earlier and incredibly STUPID comment!) Anyway thanx. Post away if you find anything thats better.

if you wanna learn military style fighting go talk with a marine corps recruiter near you.. perhaps he'd show you some hand to hand if he thought he'd get a recruit out of it...you don't have to be old enough to enlist.
