Angus Posted December 2, 2001 Author Posted December 2, 2001 There's no such thing as evil, just different levels of humanity. These are tehn classifiewd by various words: idiot, fool, champion, legend etc... Angus Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear.
SaiFightsMS Posted December 2, 2001 Posted December 2, 2001 No such thing as evil. Hmmmmmmm :???:I need a while to think about that.
Jiggy9 Posted December 2, 2001 Posted December 2, 2001 Without evil, how would you be able to define good. Without good, how would you be able to know goodness. I totally agree with Sai about Anger being a form of energy, which can fuel positive of negative...and that their are there are the 2 sides to every person..and that they are a balance of both. kicker Posted December 2, 2001 Posted December 2, 2001 yes without evil think everyone would be happy and this desicoin would never have happen and what would the point of martial arts be??? when you do your best it`s going to show. "If you watch the pros, You will learn something new"
jakmak52 Posted December 2, 2001 Posted December 2, 2001 For me anger is a deterent to my focus and concentration, especially during a fight, when emotions get involved it effects my technical performance as well as my stamina and endurance, anger is so exhausting, whew.. besides it's not a personal thing to me, strictly business Best regards,Jack Makinson
Deathcometh Posted April 15, 2002 Posted April 15, 2002 I have always been afraid of someone getting me so pissed off that I don't know what happened intill an hour later.
Phantasmatic Posted April 15, 2002 Posted April 15, 2002 I really like what you have said here Angus, you have made us that much wiser!! I like how a human's mind can actually overcome anger and harness it into power/strength. Well done! "Which one is more foolish, the fool or the fool who follows him?" - Obi Wan Kenobi

People who think they can control anykind of anger or rage is missing the point of the arts entirely. Agreed. In Wing Chun we find that removing all emotion, or as much as possible, allows for much more explosive and relaxed power. In my experience anger, fear or even desire (to perform) in combat are all ability robbers. If one can remove emotion from their intent or a major portion of it then one can perform at a new level. _________________ Moy Yat Ving Tsun Rest in peace dear teacher, dear friend, dear brother, and dear father: Moy Yat Sifu [ This Message was edited by: Shaolin on 2002-04-19 06:55 ] Moy Yat Ving Tsun Rest in peace: Moy Yat Sifu
