I always bought light weight. They're cooler, and compfy. BUT I bought a middle weight two months ago, and since my dojang teaches throws and grappling, I seem to like the middle weight better. For normal TKD related classes, I wear the light weight, still.

Heavy heavy heavy!! Nothing else FEELS right, ya know? When I wear my heavyweight, I feel at home no matter where I am :D

It makes a lovely snapping sound when you perform a technique just right, absolutely beautiful for form competition!

I'll move this to General MA.

i'm with monkeygirl on the whole "it feels at home thing", and i seem to be able to go longer without washing it. my light weight uniform is soaked by the time i'm out of class; but i can go for 2 or 3 with my heavy weight. and it makes me feel like a big man 8) :P

Yeah in the summer we usually wore t-shirts and no gi top with our pants, just to keep us cool. I'd always end up missing it, though.

I go with heavy weight. It just feels 'right' when you're wearing a heavyweight gi! I have a couple of lightweight gi's for when it's red-hot in the summer and I don't feel as comfortable in a lightwight suit.

That would make you really unpopular at my school.

I wear a medium/heavy gi when I have to, but I prefer no gi.
