Treebranch Posted November 27, 2003 Posted November 27, 2003 Anything good is hard to find. "It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience.""Lock em out or Knock em out"
battousai16 Posted November 28, 2003 Posted November 28, 2003 actually, in my case, there were quite a few kung fu schools around me, they were just really hard to find. once i'd found a school and had settled down in my style is when i found a xing yi school, which is precisely what i was looking for. they just didn't advertise nearly as much as the karate and TKD schools around me. i know for me at least you just kinda had to know where to look. why's that? beats me. but i've found they're almost always around, or at least someone who's really good who's willing to teach you in his/her back yard. at least hear in WI "I hear you can kill 200 men and play a mean six string at the same time..."-Six String Samurai
martialartsresearcher Posted November 28, 2003 Author Posted November 28, 2003 your right. a lot of kung fu schools, come to think of it don't really revolve there styles around show. and not many of them don't really care much about making dojo chains around town and/or the country. don't take this the wrong way, many kung fu schools do the right thing, by not getting in to the same politics as karate/TKD schools. so any ways, thanks guys. see ya.
SevenStar Posted November 29, 2003 Posted November 29, 2003 CMA is very political - just look at wing chun and mantis...
