Well refering to a fighter as a performer, and being visually appealing being important. I would take being called a performer as an insult, I train to be a fighter. And to be truthful my coments about children, that is what the art was created it to be when Funakoshi started teaching in Japan. Makeing it appealing to those watching tournaments, removing much of the grappling, vital point attacks, takedowns from the kata bunkai.
