The True Martial Art

Recommended Posts

Check out this website and let me know what you think. I've read a few articles and he seems to have a good understanding of the commonality between MA. Mostly sounds like propaganda for his books and products to me. :)

IT IS POSSIBLE TO EARN A BLACK BELT IN ONE YEAR!I'm going to tell you something really freaky: there is a guy who is training a monkey in karate. Now I know what you're thinking. You're thinking that I'm full of...bushwah. Last I heard the monkey was up to brown belt, and he could do forms and applications as well as any human.

I'm thinking, "This guy is full of ...!"

Yeah, sounds like marketing * to me. He's marketing to people who don't have any patience.

I went to Dragonfest this weekend here in California and it was pretty cool. They have a lot of vendors and people promoting there schools. The Machados were there, but I was kind of upset they didn't demonstrate. The coolest demonstration was the Atemi Ryu Combat Jujitsu school from North Hollywood, their master is a bad *. Anyway a group of guys were walking around with these Monster Martial Arts shirts with a cocky expression on their faces, like they have the holy grail or something. Maybe they've learned some concepts that my help, but making claims like they're making is just *.

I've seen that chimp on TV, he has a good jump back spinning heel kick. But everything else is just basic mimicry, or tricks stimulated by command. Although the chimp is intelligent enough to "perform" these techs, giving him a Black Belt brings a touch of shame to the art. It basically says that this is simple enough for a "monkey" to do, and it is not. However the general public (IQ < 90) will take this as fact and further discredit our respective Arts(Styles).

The Chimp already had his own intinctual way of protecting itself that is far superior to ours. I Chimp would kick our * in a fight, why would they bother teaching it Karate. Furthermore why would anyone mention that to MA's as a way to recruit people to his * MA.
