I voted bo

True, in my dojo we officially do not practice with weapons. However the instructors do not disallow or protest if you bring weapons to train with.

My mind is my favorite weapon.

Karate and Kobudo are two different Martial Arts.

Granted a lot of karate schools do include kobudo, but they are not related. 'Karate' (China/Empty hand) never had weapons in it's syllabus, as karate was formed for Japanese school children as a means of fitness, stretching and sport.

Japanese karate may not have had weapons as part of their syllabus, but Okinawan karate from Shuri, Naha, and Tomari, the precursors to Japanese karate, did. Weapons include the kama, noburikama, tonfa, sai, and nunchuka. This is what we have been taught in Shorin-ryu karate-do.
