I have a red belt in tae-kwon-do but was never really successful with it because my kicks weren't very high.

What is the best martial arts for me?

1. I am Tall (6'1")

2. I am skinny (140lbs)

3. I am 18yrs old

4. I can't touch my toes

5. I dance, so I'm good with body manipulation

What art would I be most successful in given my stats?

thanks!!

Have you tried Karate, I have the same stats!

Tall , 6"3

Skinny, 12stone

Can't touch my toes

Can Dance

Only 14

I can do karate with no trouble at all, you are not presured to kick very high, the techniques come from your hips(get good hip manipulation from dancing).

I have been karate training now for around 36 months and don't regret a second of it.

Tell me what you think!

Yep, Grappling and the like is very good with arm locks, wrist locks, other locks, chokes, takedowns, etc.

Would suit your 'good body manipulation' skills pretty well

Have you ever thought of Kuk Sool Won? High kicks aren't quite as important as the proper technique of kicking itself. It also emphasizes flexability and conditioning, which will impove the whole process. Good luck.

It's happy hour somewhere in the world.
