Hello

Karateka

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone. I am new at Karate Forums. I live in North Vancouver, BC Canada. I have been in Martial Arts for 6 years. I spent 4 years in Kickboxing and then switched to Traditional Karate. I now take Shito Ryu Seikokai at the age of 15 as a brown belt. I am under the tutallidge of Sensei Ron Bagley 5th dan. He is more to me then a sensei. He is more like a father. He has helped me become a better person. His assistant, Michelle Sempai, has been an excellent person to me since I joined. She has helped me in everything I do. Together, these are the best Kumite fighters I have ever seen in my life. I have not seen Sempai Michelle lose a fight yet. Sensei Ron has been the BC Champ, Canada champ, U.K. Champ, Shito Ryu Champ, European Bronze medalist, BC Team Head Coach and the best person I have ever met.

Although I am new to the site, I feel that I have a lot to offer and you have a lot to offer me. I look forward to the opportunity in knowing you all. If anyone would like to reach me personally, you can email me.

I would like to now what you all think about weight loss. I am currently over weight for my age and am trying to lose weight. I know that it will take that much to make me a better fighter in Kumite. If any of you have any advice you could give I would greatly appreciate it.

Does Sensei Ron Bagley have anything to do with Shotokan Karate in Great Britain (KUGB)? I think I've heard of him? :???:

Good luck in your chosen martial art

Yes he used to be in Shotokan Karate but switched to another dojo when his dojo disbanded. He was quite a famous champion in the UK. He moved to Vancouver Canada and is teaching my dojo and his head coach for the BC Team.
