tommarker Posted October 25, 2003 Posted October 25, 2003 i think they specialize in mostly open tournament cane kata. not the way I would use the cane for SD. however, they do make an EXCELLENT cane. I'm no longer posting here. Adios.

SaiFightsMS Posted October 25, 2003 Posted October 25, 2003 They have both self defense moves and fancy kata moves. They also make a range of canes.
SaiFightsMS Posted October 25, 2003 Posted October 25, 2003 After a bit more thought canemasters has several different types of training they offer. The do some work more senior oriented programs complete with resistance band training.
hajime Posted October 25, 2003 Posted October 25, 2003 nice to see they don't believe in hyperbole ahem a cane 'The finest craftsmanship of the world's greatest Self Defense Tool' lol 700 hours of official training. Injury finished me dammit!1st Kyu Wado Ryu
SaiFightsMS Posted October 25, 2003 Posted October 25, 2003 The day I smack someone with my canemasters can they will certainly know the difference between that and a store cane. And I can tell the difference when I handle that cane as compared to a store cane in terms of the gripping surfaces and the smooth surface.
hajime Posted October 25, 2003 Posted October 25, 2003 I was caned at school. That's probably why I hate canes! 700 hours of official training. Injury finished me dammit!1st Kyu Wado Ryu
szorn Posted October 27, 2003 Posted October 27, 2003 Does anyone belong to this org? Has anyone ever seen it done? http://www.canemasters.com I was a member for a while and I own the complete set of videos. The material isn't too bad, most of which I had already learned from other systems prior to getting the videos. The kata material does focus on sport based kata movements but they alllow you to create your own for testing should you be interested in obtaining rank with them. Hope this helps, Steve Personal Safety Unlimitedhttp://www.geocities.com/combatives
