hajime Posted October 24, 2003 Posted October 24, 2003 Hi I'm sick of downloading short films of fights in which the so called 'Karate' fighter looses in about 4 seconds to a grappler. They don't adopt a stance. They don't defend themselves. They don't strike their opponent either with any force or sometimes they just don't hit at all?! A link for seeing grapplers get beaten would cheer me up 700 hours of official training. Injury finished me dammit!1st Kyu Wado Ryu
hajime Posted October 24, 2003 Author Posted October 24, 2003 search for this file on Kazaa for example of what I mean: Brazilian Jiu Jitsu vs. Karate 700 hours of official training. Injury finished me dammit!1st Kyu Wado Ryu
gheinisch Posted October 25, 2003 Posted October 25, 2003 sherdog.com has vids of the ufc and mma. Some are pretty good. Bas Rutten is a pretty bad dude. "If your hand goes forth withhold your temper""If your temper goes forth withold your hand"-Gichin Funakoshi
hajime Posted October 25, 2003 Author Posted October 25, 2003 Bas Rutten? excellent I'm download some. Don't get me wrong, watching Gracie defeat fighters shows brilliant skill and effort within the confines of the UFC rules. Just punching and kicking when done well generates such tremendous power I'm surprised to see striking martial artists perform so poorly. 700 hours of official training. Injury finished me dammit!1st Kyu Wado Ryu
hajime Posted October 25, 2003 Author Posted October 25, 2003 woah. Bas Rutten is someone I would not want to fight. He would whip my *! He's a quality fighter and a powerful hitter. Excellent thanks! 700 hours of official training. Injury finished me dammit!1st Kyu Wado Ryu
gheinisch Posted October 25, 2003 Posted October 25, 2003 No Prob! Glad you like, if you havn't already check out the highlights from - Royce Gracie vs Kazushi Sakuraba match that's a good one. They don't call Sakuraba the "Gracie Hunter" for nothing. Worth a look! "If your hand goes forth withhold your temper""If your temper goes forth withold your hand"-Gichin Funakoshi

hajime Posted October 26, 2003 Author Posted October 26, 2003 Hi gheinisch Royce Gracie vs Kazushi Sakuraba is a good match to watch. I feel kinda sorry for Gracie in that anyone who challenges him at that stage knows exactly what he was going to try. I liked Bas Rutten's power/speed as well as his politeness and concern for his opponent when they were injured. No rudeness/ arrogance from him. 700 hours of official training.
