TJS Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 I agree with some of the other's that have posted, The Best way to Defeat grappling is to learn it. The best way to counter takedowns is to learn wrestling/judo, etc. That said i dont know a whole lot about the WC anti-grappling, it could be good stuff, but i will remain a bit hesitant until i see it diplayed against a good grappler.
cymry Posted December 4, 2003 Author Posted December 4, 2003 Like I said before, don't think it's designed for skilled grapplers.
1ONEfighting Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 Like I said before, don't think it's designed for skilled grapplers. Then what is the point? If your techniques only allow you to beat the scrubs, what happens when you actually run into a skilled opponent? Trainwreck Tiemeyerwishes he was R. Lee Ermey.
cymry Posted December 4, 2003 Author Posted December 4, 2003 I also said before that you are most likely to be confronted by an unskilled opppnent. And IMO, grappling on the street is much less dominant than grappling in UFC-type events.

Why leave that kind of hole in your training? Wrestling is offered in most of the high schools in America. Chances of meeting a skilled grappler may be better than you think.
