The lethal blows

Recommended Posts

strictly not recommended in a street fight for obvious reasons!

aside from hiraken to the throat

shuto to the neck

hammerfist to the bridge of the nose

ok any kind of powerful blow to the throat/neck

what are the quickest other ways to kill people with a single blow.

Why I am asking?

I am strictly a man of peace. I'm writing a story.

Twice in unarmed combat the hero kills a man with a single blow.

Each time hiraken to the throat. Just wondering if I was missing anything I hadn't heard of?

Hi there

I'm positive hiraken to the throat does kill. (it's gonna hurt bigtime m8) ;)

a knife strike to the neck would be potentially lethal.

I'm happy to be 'proved' wrong if it's possible.

Heck I'm not even a 1st Dan. whatdo I know :)

During a struggle the neck tenses and the muscles do a good job of protecting it. The points that make these areas lethal need to be exposed so a one blow situation will not work. These points need to be hit at the right angle and in the proper direction.

ok in the situation I'm imagining the attacker takes the victim by surprise and hits straight into the adam's apple from the front at maximum power/ speed/ correct angle etc

I wasn't trying to suggest that any blow to any part of the neck was lethal

still I don't think that will do it, due to head postion during attacks. If he use a forearm strike underthe chin pushing the head back 45 degress to setup a single knuckle /pheonix eye punch , this uses the second knukle of the middle finger to strike the neck about 1 to 1 1/2 inchs to the side of the adams apple there are two vital points ST9, LI18. These will ativate stomach / st and large intestine /li meridians and with the forearm strike can provide such a result. KYUSHO JUSTSU stuff

thanks kempocos for your useful info

one knuckle fist to that point sounds very nasty

indeed.

I'm not trying to be petty but consider this:

how confident are you that for the sake of argument a 3rd Dan 16 stone man could not kill a skinny opponent with a hiraken strike to the throat delivered at maximum power and perfect aim?

would you risk being the one hit yourself?

Good point. So if someone knows what they are doing and they can strike you elsewhere to loosen the neck area up, the strike could be mortal. You know there are ways of doing that in a fight. It's not impossible.
