Not exactly sure what you mean but, if you mean courses and video type things, I would be skeptical (nothing can replace a qualified teacher as everyone will tell you). I have no experience with courses/videos like that though. Maybe this could be of some help to you?

Multiple ground fighting? You're being silly.

well, i dont know if the stuff in catalogues is legit, but i know multiple ground fighting can be done.

the Sensei at my school has done it before. we do a drill where you stand in the center of a circle and several people randomlyy atack you, the idea is to be able to flow from technique to techniqwue qithout thinking about it. a fellow student named Ron (5th) and i (9th) decided to atack him. basically he took us both down simultaniusly, causeing us to land on each other.

then he pinned us both using each others bodies (my hands where underneath Ron who was beeing held on top of my by sensei and my wrist was locked by senseis other hand.

That doesn't sound like ground fighting to me. Sounds like he just took both of you down, but did he go down with both of you?

yes. like i said, he PINNED both of us using each other to sort pin the other.

pinned kinda implies that he went down with us and pinned us to the floor.

Sounds dubious to me. Maybe if there are only two people, what if there are three or four? Going to the ground is never the best answer in a real situation. You should always try to stay on your feet so that you can run if you have to and so you can see what's happening around you. :)

one on one in a ring with a ref then if you are a grappler being on the ground is good.

doing this in a non ring fight if there's any chance of a 2nd attacker sounds a horrible idea.

then again I'm an ex Karate-Ka so I'm biased :)

700 hours of official training. Injury finished me dammit!

Not practical in real life. Hajime biased or not you have the right idea.

multiple grond fighting

Gronds are some of the most difficult opponents you can face. Personally, I'm nervous about fighting with a grond at all, let alone multiple grond. :o

Currently: Kickboxing and variants.

Previously: Karate (Seido, Shotokan, Seidokan), Ju Jitsu, Judo, Aikido, Fencing.
