  5. Yeah, I passed my first belt test, and was awarded my yellow belt on tuesday. My 9 year old son also passed, so we are both yellow belts... Now on to Pinan Shodan ! we started with the foot work in our saturday class. My Husband video recorded our promotion celebration, his comment was wow honey, you sure are loud!! KIAI marci

Here os a great recipe for oysters,perfect for New Years Eve Paul's Oysters 1 1/2 pints extra small oysters 1-2 minced cloves of garlic 1/3 cup olive oil 3/4 cup fresh grated parmesan cheese 1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs 1/4 tsp paprika salt , pepper to taste mix garlic and olive oil, let sit for 30 minutes or more. Mix the bread crumbs,cheese,paprika,sat and pepper to taste. Roll the oyster in the garlic oil, coat on both sides with crumbs. Bake at 375 for about 10 minutes, or until golden brown.

    well I have been taking Karate lessons for about 4 weeks now, 2-3 lessons per week. I have noticed more energy,etc but weighed myself on Fri, and wow I lost 5 pounds !! woo hoo marci

  12. keep your sutures clean, use peroxide to clean them and an antibiotic ointment to keep them from getting scabby. They shouldn't hur coming out just a tug and maybe a pinch marci
  13. Hi all I am really new to karate, my 9 year old has beem taking classes since june, I myself took the plunge and started on october 10. I Love it. Daniel and I went to the central WA karate championships. he entered to do his kata, and I did the only one I knew. not bad for only3 lessons.... I knew that I had no chance competition wise, but the money raised goes to the karate scholarships that the school gives each year. So it was for a good cause I am in Olympia, Washington my sensei is Ken Nolan who trained under shihan morris mack in yakima washington. I hope to learn lots from the different forums marci
