White Belt (1/10)

  1. & a few things that makes me sick - nunchakus that glow in the night - all kind of bodybuilding - all sort of american-gym-karate - harshness of formal japanese karate ...
  2. hello, my name is... (I love these words, they sound like those stickers in the beging of Fight Club...) hello my name is Zorro, I am almost 30, french writer, becoming also a web-designer/webmaster, I have a black belt of Viet Vo Dao (vietnamese) but I stopped practising for a while, and spend my time reading, writing, clicking, and smoking joints. As some people do their yoga, or meditation, or pray, I do a bit of Iaï-Do... Also FASCINATED by Kung Fu Styles, though I know none... When I see the drunken man style, or some bird forms, by some shaolin monk on tv, I almost cry...
  3. a few more words about SCARS... i think it is typical of a certain America, culturally and sociologically it makes me think of Scientology ! 1/ it is the same process that assumes we are like computer (hard drive, ram, etc.) and believe in "brain washing" tekniks 2/ it is expensive and ultra-capitalistic/darwinian (their buisness attitude resembles their techniks) 3/ it is a sect built on one leader who was never recongnize by his peers, because he is in too much hungry for power and control. 4/ it uses a language that is peudo-scientific, and very analytic (as opposed to synthetic) it uses the word science and shows a max of diagrams, 'proofs' I am sure there a few good things but they are recovered with 90% of filth frankly, these guys make me think of the bad guys in star wars... They worship love for power, anger, attack, money, self-content, and so and so :kaioken:
  4. hi, Anyone who knows about this vietnamese kung fu ? I studied that in France where it is pretty much developped but I never saw a hint about it in America !!! I think there is not even one school in all NY City for exple !!! maybe it is because americans have a pb with vietnam, or maybe because the Vietnamese emigration in the 60's/70's chose other countrie than the US... which is VERY understandable...! I know there are a few other schools in Europe maybe Italy and Switzerland and there are many branches with even different names now (like Quan Ki Do etc.) which all come the same Vietnamese root
