  1. For shins if you need to get the rolling pin out and go on them for a bit. And for thighs just keep taking hits to the legs. You can do it yourself so you regulate the amount of pain being distributed so that you dont injure yourself but you feel it pretty well.
  2. God Damn I wish I had time to go in Judo/Wrestling lol.
  3. I was watching various demonstrational videos on this art and it looked really cool. I wouldn't mind experiencing it at all. Would anyone mind telling me a little about this art, like, what it stands for and it's principle's possibly? In a nut shell of course. There aren't any local clubs around here but it'd be nice if anyone could give me links or articles about this art. Thanks! Osu
  4. Man, that's amazing, I wish I could get myself to that state of mind. Sometime I should try and do so, forgetting about everything, and just being yourself. Wow, sounds great
  5. Thanks alot! I was looking all over the internet for videos to help me, never thought to search the Gracie family Haha, thanks again for your help, and I'm still welcoming videos from other people. Hopefully I can figure out alot of this. Edit: I tried to get them to send me the free vids online and it wouldn't work, do you know how to get other free vids or maybe make this work?
  6. I really want to learn ground fighting, I have taken an interest in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Theres no teachers of it around here, but I'm lookin for some sort of tutorial to some moves I could practice with a partner. I myself don't like the fact that I have to learn off of a video, but if I can it'd be great. So does anyone know any vids I could learn ground fighting from? Thanks
  7. Definately look at the chest area, it even goes for physical sports like hockey and football, it's so that you see every movement. You use periferal vision to see kicks.
  8. Ok so here's the thing. I'm in Karate and every so often my teacher gives us a bit of ground fighting to work on in class. I like ground fighting and I tried Judo for a night to see what it was like. I can't manage it in my busy schedule so I got the idea of my friend teaching me a bunch of ground fighting during the summer. I just want enough to be able to defend myself if it goes to the ground and maybe get good at ground fighting. I'm just wondering what you think of my idea? I'd really like to learn it and this is the only thing that would probably work out for me. Comments? Any specific techniques I should try and learn? Thanks.
  9. Easy combo that you can work on, especially during class. Punch, Punch, Roundhouse, then you can add a side at the end. You can make the kicks vary for this combination and the sweet part is, is that anyone can use it. From white belt to black. Hope you have fun building on this:) Edit: When you do the side, don't land the roundhouse, step into it.
  10. I'm just wondering if this art is really effective or if it's just for show. I'm really looking forward to Bajifan's reply to this and I hope he does. Also Bajifan how long have you done this? Anyways hope to see replies.
  11. Ha thanks But somethin I haven't quite understood. What's BJJ?
  12. Kajukembo is Hawaiin. I've looked it up and it says it was founded in Hawaii by a bunch of black belts from different arts and they combined them. It's pretty rad
  13. I'm gonna say the truth. I have only seen chito ryu in person, none of the others. At the dojo I watched, they didn't train to hard but really for each style its the way the teacher teaches and trains. I personally love Kyokushin cause we train hard and don't mess around. Chito Ryu at the club I watched they used bo staffs, and they could learn other weapons. But I suggest watch the clubs first person. Everyone has their own opinion.
