I disagree. Vascular chokes do cut off arteries and can be dangerous, especially on people with pre-existing vascular conditions. If they only blocked veins then surely the cranial blood pressure would skyrocket causing a CVA (stroke) Blocking arteries is a major part of medicine and first aid, hence the brachial artery block for a severe upper limb haemorage or femoral artery for a lower limb. I personally would not put vascular chokes on that person until they have been checked by an MD. I also avoid anyone over 40 years old. To high risk of aortic or carotid sinus aneurism. Then again "better to be tried by twelve than carried by six"
