Well... If you want to get technical - Kempo is an Indian art as it was brought to Asia by a man from India. There are three primary types of Kempo. Those being Japanese Kempo, Chinese Kempo, and Okinawan Kempo. And if you wanted to be super technical you could throw in Hawaiin Kempo and American Kempo. The art I do is American Kempo, but mostly based off of Japanese Kempo.

Hello, I am an instructor at a local school. I have been in the Martial Arts for eleven years, and practicing Kempo avidly for almost seven years. I have my second dan test in six days (yaaaay). I was just wondering if anyone could give me the correct Japanese caricature for Kempo? I plan on getting a tattoo of it, but can not find this caricature anywhere online as well as having no luck with the local library. I've found the caricature for Karate, but not Kempo. I would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you.
