  1. yeah i tried a foam pair and it was really different to my wodden pair also wood gives you more of an incentive to get it right. lol
  2. what do you mean swinging low? as in leg roll stops?
  3. "your getting sloppy in your old age" while sparring with my instructor next i knew i was on my *.
  4. Yeah bout the wrist strength are there any excersizes i can do to strengthen them.
  5. yeah im under 18 and i have my own. the problem is getting them to and from your dojo or what ever you learn in. Ive been stopped a couple of times but if you explain to the police that you have just come from training and keep them in a bag or something you'll prob get away with it. thats in the UK tho i dunno bout anywhere else
  6. I have to say i prefer the chained wooden version as i find it easyer to perform roll stops with chained ones.
  7. My all time fave is "rest when your dead" To which our usual reply is "we soon will be if you keep working us like this" So he gives us more pushups for being cheeky. its a vicious circle.
  8. Cheers guys that helps alot Yes i realise how important the elbow thing is as i still cant really feel my hands. Ive also got an old punch bad which ill use now. and i know that fighting with a nunchaku its not that effective but i like it as it is diverse to most other weapons. plus my mate has a bo staff which i will nick and practise with also.
  9. hey guys im new to weapons at the mo, ive done other martial arts such as Judo, tae-kwon-do karate etc but weapons fighting is completely different to anyhing ive done before. im learning nunchaku if you hadn't guessed from the title and was wondering if there was anybody out there that could give me a few tips. Hopefully this thread can help others in my position too. Thanks for reading Rob
