i agree...what kind of moron does that?? i even say someone do that at school and that just pissed me off...especialy since we go to same karate school...

i think having fun with your hobby is alright, as long as you stay focused so noone is hurt, once someone got hit 2x in weapons class and quite (both in same week, 1 time with hardwood bo on accident, 2nd with bamboo bo on accident both on head)

you bring up a goo point, i cant stand it to see someone who doesnt really qualify for thier blackbelt, or are shoboating it, if they brag about it they dont diserve it! I dont think the kids would be dumb enough to challenge someone like 2x thier hieght tho, i mean how dumb can you be??? well...there was that one kid in my class who stapled his arm, chugged glue, and accidentaly stabbed himself in the hand when playing around in Tech Ed class...i guess pretty dumb but he doesnt count

my mothers cooking!! lol j/k i occasionaly carry my Bo, Sais, Eku, ect to Kobudo class

might not have heard of him, but Miyamoto Musashi Fujiwara no Genshin is my favorite

it really depends on how profficient you are with any weapon, but your mind is the best weapon, you can overcome any obstical with it

eku is a sweet weapon, but i havent seen many people talk about using it

well, i think he IS crazy, but i would never stay there longer than 1 day probly walk out in middle of training if the insturtor is THAT abusive. that just makes all karate teachers look bad

come to think of it, my GF motivates me too, but mianly to be the best and perfection of spirit

but then again im going to Okinowa with everyone in my dojo in 2007 to train with Sensei Gakiya

I would look into Bushido i wish i was going to Japan

14th degree blackbelt???? i dont really think it matters how high you are if your good, but yes that is exxcesive

the katas are meant to practice what you know. Most have an application to it which shows you what you are doing

i would reccomend against it, unless you have trained in various styles it would be almost an identical version of some style, one time i thought i made up a move, i didnt

It took me 7 years to get my black belt in TKD. I think having a good understanding of empty hand karate helped e get my Kobudo jr. Black belt in 5 years

i know how you feel about your dojo shuting down, happened to me after 7 years there hehe. What i did was do the sam drills as my intructor had me do, but everyday. I spose having cocky kids at school trying to take me down helps... but i dont hurt um

I personaly got my junior blackbelt after 7 years of training in Tai Kwon Do. it took me 5 years for my Kobudo jr. black belt tho. Im dedicated to my school only switched cuz it shut down

id have to say the karate kid, thats a good movie
