White Belt

White Belt (1/10)

  1. well they all have diff instructors and mine happens to be good he pushes us HARD lol, its awesome!
  2. to tell ya the truth no body really know ninjutsu unless they train secretly in China cus there is only like one or two places that know it and theyre secret, and i dont think that there is a 14th dan.
  3. I am in TKD and I love it, ive been in it for about 3 years adn have done other styles but havent liked them as much as this one, i have recently earned my black belt and i am then going to find another style like kung fu to practice next, tell of your favorite styles!
  4. You are correct Sooner. If you yourself have confidence but if you have a trainer to push you it is even better, i have an awesome trainer myself, he takes state and is currently working on world champ and is very good at teaching and i have learned a lot from him. If any of you are familiar with ATA you know that they have high fees but most have aweomse teachers.
  5. iss, I like ur point, strongly put. But what people dont see me doing is trying to issue confidence to other martial arts participants and while the black belt is just the beginning it has a lot of practical deffense mechanisms in which it is equipped. Firs i believe that if you are properly trained in any art you will be able to handle almost any type of fighter when done with your training, not saying that you will win every time but simply saying that you will know how to get out of tough situations and possibly counter attack if need be. Thank you iss for commenting, it is very much appreciated!
  6. while sparring be sure to switch stances and circle spar often, this will confuse ur opponent.
  7. fairfax, I am not talking of personal expenses on this i was pointing out that people think that dojangs that go for money usually do not have proper instruction but that isnt true, and they also think that if u get ur black belt in less than nine years that ur not really a black belt, i would like to point out that the military teaches martial arts and has a marine progress through 6 different degrees of the black belt and they fight well.
  8. fairfax, Yes i have been taught how to fight in close and my instructor stresses that, and i would like to point out that yes the person does do the fighting but i was simply saying that the art teches u the fighting if u see my point.
  9. If your martial arts academy or facility charges a lot and they basicall hand out belts dont think of it as a bad style, just make the best out of it and practice and u can be just as good as anyone else. If anyone agrees please place a reply! THANKS!
  10. Thank u dylan for deffending my point, and yes i do think that both JKD and TKD could stand the test of a real fight, each martial art has its strength and each could probably stand a real fight its just if you have the confidence and correct instruction to do so. Thank you for asking!
  11. hey, im a first degree black belt in taekwondo and im sure there is an ATA in ur area join that and u wont regret it. it has some awesome fighting and sparring but u can also learn at ur own pace
  12. Taekwondo is a very awesome styke. It has cool techniques but also has realistic moves in it. In taekwondo you will learn how to fight in a real fight if need be, not learn how to start fights but how to finish them. do not ever start a fight only fiish it. I would highly reccomend taekwondo, being a first degree black belt myself i know much of the style and i know what it consists of, if u have ANY questions please ask.
