  1. Hey, yes to increase your vertical you should do jumping excercises. There is a certain type called plyometrics, search for routines on the internet. This shold help enourmously. Also good tips on jumping is make sure there is no fear, and extend on everything, tuck in only at the peak of your jump. sometimes a little jump at the beggining helps get more height, as soon as u touch the ground on the first little jump use all your power in your whole body and "explode" off the ground. Also doing calf and ankle excercises help vertical a lot. hope this helps....if u want some more details, just ask.

  3. Well I guess its time to introduce.... I gotta say this site is really kick ass, and very useful, nice to get in touch with people that have same views and intrests as i do. Well anyways, hey everyone, i am 2nd degree black belt in TKD. Also studied some other martial arts before for bits at a time. I am just a youngin though...got lots to learn, lookin forward to some more training....probably Hap Ki Do. Anyone going to West Coast Can Am - Championships should message me, maybe we can set up to see eachother's events. I'm going in for sparring, creative form, weapons form, and "high-fly" kicks contest.   4. Hey, Well after stopping my taekwondo training for almost a year and a half now after achieving black belt standing, its time for me to go back. Originally i wanted to do taekwondo again, because i love korean martial arts but then i was thinking maybe try something else. But the thing is when i fight i use mainly kicks, without kicks...hehe i dunno wut i am I wanted to try hapkido....does it use a lot of kicks too...high kicks, jumping kicks ?? what are the main differences between the two....is it common for hapkido schools to compete in tournys ?? Advantages ?? Disadvantages ?? plz help, any input is appreciated.
