  1. Hi mate, NOt a KArate seminar as such but keep an eye out for seni 2006 http://www.senishow.com/ I have made this a yearly weekend leave for myslef. Lots of interesting people there and if you look at the seminar list try the Iain Abernethy he is a whizz on Katas and grappling for Karate
  2. Thanks im going to try to get together with other club members weekly to practice what we do in class, the problem is getting everybody off together!!!!!!!
  3. Hi, even though I have been involved in Martial Arts for a good few years I have only been traiing Jujitsu for twelve months. Whilst I trained Shotokan and other arts I found it easy to train alone, however since starting Jujitsu I found it that little bit harder without a partner. Recently I have found that I imagine watching myself executing the move in my head and then close my eyes and pracise my movement in an attempt to get it into muscle memory. How do you practice alone? Have you any other ideas.
  4. Bee's Wasps and injection needles!
  5. I have tried the Chinese Martial Arts it was a mix of Wing Tsung and Chy le fut, unfortuntealy he moved away before I managed to get a proper idea of it.
  6. HI I was looking for certain aspects i.e groundfighting and take downs and also some weapons training. I have found all of these in the current style of Jujitsu I am training but also have found that these moves are in the Shotokan Katas! Thanks for your welcome
  7. I was inspired like many by Bruce Lee but over the years many people have inspired me and changed the course of my training. More recently Geoff Thompson and Peter Consterdine from the British Combat Association have inspired me a great deal and have changed the way I train and indeed my life.
  8. Hi, A quick hello to everybody on this forum, I have been practicing Martial Arts for 10 years now. I started in Shotokan Karate when I was seventeen in which I obtained a Shodan and a thorough grounding for Martial Arts, discipline and spirit. Since then I have trained a little in Judo and Boxing but was looking for something that was missing. I am now training JuJitsu on the Wirral in England and also teaching a private group of individuals. Because of the work I do I use and evaluate my Martial Arts training often; by now my training and instruction is done with a lot of realism involved. Looking forward to many discussions on this forum
