i've seen them used on Dynasty warriors (video game) and i was searching online and i actually found a pair for sale...they are like long sticks with heavy decorative spheres at the end that are used to beat people to death...has anyone here done them before??? if so, is it hard to learn and what can i expect???

fighting fans can be used in sync with self-defense skills...when closed, it can be used to strike an opponent at a pressure point or other painful spot...opening the fan in certain ways can stun your opponent...when opened it can be used to stap or slash...also, i'm not sure, but if you get really big ones you can make some wind that will blow into your opponents eyes and that will irritate their eyes...i hope this helps!!!

for my demonstrations i fortunately get to use fighting fans...but the fans at our school aren't actual fighting fans and the fabric and fan break apart very easily...i am looking for some of my own and wondered where i can get a nice, sturdy bamboo fan more than 12 3/4 inches when closed...also any place i can get extremely decorative ones would be most appreciated as well...thankies!!![/img]
