  1. TigerKorea, Been thinkin' about this the past couple days... A lot of what yer talkin about goes same for youth, right here in the good-ole U. S. of A... In my experience, hate gets you nowhere, and yer better off trying to be the current generation TigerKorea than the next generation Bruce Lee. (No offense to The Master, but trying to copy him isn't necessarily the best way to find your own Chi.) jmho, Big Up
  2. Here's the thing: The jury would-a heard a lot more testimony than just the one side Jack Spratt has summed up in these few words. The jury found him guilty. (Granted it could-a been a travesty of justice, but I'm guessing it was probably a fair trial.) And I'm also sure the judge took all the testimony into account, in giving a light sentence... The judge probably hoped Jack S. would learn a valuable lesson, and not ever appear in court again, under similar circumstances. Those of youse who are makin' up justifications for Jack's actions: How is he gonna learn from this experience, as long as he feels he was justified in his response...? Anywho... To me, the bigger question is where does Jack S. go from here...? But that's just me.
  3. Man...! Missed a couple days, and sure was surprised with how friendly you all've been...! My schedule is erratic, but I'll try to get by more often...
  4. I agree with both Bon and Taikudo-ka, and don't see any contradiction... It would appear, to me anyway, that the response was "intended bodily harm", and was totally disproportionate to the threat the drunk man presented.
  5. Well...! Thank you both kindly...! I was out most the evening, so am just getting "the lay of the land". Hope to spend some more time tomorrow. Again, appreciate the welcomes.
  6. I call m'self "Big Up", because I'm "high on life"... But none of that corn-pone "high on life" like we heard in the 60's and 70's... I'm high on life because pessimism just doesn't work. No more than giddy optimism, in my experience... Been told I have some measure of Chi, but lack discipline. Told myself I need more discipline (like quiting smoking cigs), MANY times. Thought mebbe some training in Martial Arts would help. Didn't figure it could hurt. Nice forum here...! (But just getting started into it.)
