  1. I will not leave martial arts it is one of my lifes works I have left and I thank you all for your support I am finding a new place to train and I will be the best I can be
  2. I am going to leave
  3. My master does the to everyone btw He is one of the most tradional chinese training kungfu guys left I guess he does everything old school but I dont know if i can take this any l9onger.
  4. Well you gotta develope your own style on this try to be either a commanding and strict insturctor or the fun guy play games and try to get to know them. They are people to.
  5. HELP![/b] I dont know what to do everytime I go to class and I do something wrong My master takes out his stick and hits me over the head and eyes with it I do not like this kind of training it is hurting me emotionally what do I do?
  6. Well Im doing Southern Mantis Style Its definetly Alot like wing chun My master Learned alot of 7 star mantis and another mantis style wich you dont have listed. Its a very good system from what I can tell The southern styles seem more effective then the northen styles. It focuses on alot of trapping.
  7. My Instructor allways picks me to demonstrate techniques with in front of the class. And I have Absolute no idea why. I think im fairly average calibur student. I just wish i wouldnt get picked all the time since i cant see the move right to do it with someone else. Can you help me out on figuring why this is and why you choose someone to demonstrate moves.
  8. Just keep at it Percistence is key in the martial arts you WILL get there. Strech kicks are very good to get flexable and maybe if you do them fast enough for heart rate increase. Just take your leg and throw it up as high as you can but not kick in the front do it a few times on each leg side and back .
  9. Kata is very useful to tone your body and put mind spirit and body together. It is also useful when remembering techniques it is a intergral part of almost any art.
  10. Break falling to not get hurt and rolling out of moves in grappling is veryy importent. Do not let your ego get in the way or you will get hurt. Also allways tap out when you feel pain. I hope you have a good time in your ju jitsu classes
  11. Well oviously as you get better and progress your technique it doesnt take less effort it just looks as if that. Just like this example young kid very good at high kicks awesome speed and power spars a old man practitionar of that art the old man woops the young boy because of his years of experience and his awesome technique.
  12. I think you answeared your own question. Its because we live in the western world and that is part of our culture. People can relate to that more than they can with ma of the east in history. That and that the rules differentiate so much so in eastern ma compared to boxing.
  13. There the same exact thing. Its just a mis translation on one of them probly.
  14. Im sure the better fighter would win. But Tai chi doesnt get the credit it deserves as a fighting art. Mostly you just see the health benefits of tai chi with old people But in fact There forms have huge technique breakdowns which are very effective and which do not require strength to do. Ninjitsu on the other hand is mostly stealth and weapons and the practitioner would create his own techniques. which suit his body
  15. As x said maybe you should but i probly wouldnt.
