Daniel-san/Chozen fight
yasureubetcha replied to Hart's topic in Martial Arts Gaming, Movies, TV, and Entertainment
Lol, I always thought the movies presented it well. Like there was never alot of special effects or cheap tricks ... just the basics, specially in the first one. Thats what made them such classics. -
Pat Morita (Mr. Miyaga) Dies -- Sad
yasureubetcha replied to liquidkudzu's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
That movie was the reason my brother started Karate. And when I wash my car I still ALWAYS, without fail do the wax on was off thing. I love that guy. He will be missed. -
I don't think girls are worse at it or have more difficulty or can't enjoy the training, no way, its no different from anything else. But the class that I participated in was horrible. There was about 18 guys and it was my first lesson there, the only girl. They were mean, rude, they showed off and they pushed you around. Yeah I sound like a winger, lol. But I REALLY didn't like that class. If I had of liked it I would have just ignored them for sure and showed them all, lol! But as it happened I didn't. I'm sure given the right teacher and class I would have really enjoyed my kung fu experience, shame though.

And it helped, really did, cause like I said I have a similar situation with a guy friend, I like him, he knows that now ... just waiting for him to realise I'm the love of HIS life, LOL! Just joking, I'd rather be friends then nothing at all but. That'll have to do. Oh and humanTyphoon ... LMAO! Your so funny, wont be long now, I know there's some space aliens on there way RIGHT now! Sorry to kind of change the topic, but I have NEVER bought a martial arts magazine? Should I? Do they have like tips and "do it yourself" type things in it? Just wondering ... hehe. -
has anyone ever underestimate a person
yasureubetcha replied to mean fighter's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
Ouch! Lol, you can never tell. And sometimes the fittest, most toughest looking people are the slowest too. I always got underestimated I suppose, being a girl and all. In class 9 times out of 10 i'd be paired up with one of the guys and you could just tell they were taking it easy on you and it sucked! I spared one of the kids once, he was about 8 at the time and I'm like, Ill just take it easy on him, well i tell you what, he was the best person I ever sparred. Was tough cause he was alot shorter, but we had the best time, I dont think I was ever so tired afterwards, lol. -
I have a "mobie phone" lol, cell phone is more an american term I think. I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE my phone, it's a nokia 6101 http://www.mphone.co.uk/nokia/images/nokia_6101.jpg theres a link to a pic of it. Has camera, and video and sound and colour screen and all sorts. And ... IT FLIPS! Lol, you can't change the colour which sucks but hey, silver goes with everything. Great phone for anyone looking for one. Very expensive though, cost me $399 aus dollars. But I was desperate, my other one fell down the toilet, lol.

Responding to Compliments in Martial Arts
yasureubetcha replied to Superfoot's topic in General Chat
Lol, my old Karate techer rarely ever gave us compliments. There was always something wrong with what we were doing. Which in a way is good, but there are times when you like to know your training has payed off. So on the rare occasion when he did give us compliments it was usually well hidden and sort of left you very warm and fuzzy and you never really knew what to say. Your sort of thinking, "did he just give me a compliment or not?" Lol! -

yasureubetcha replied to Son Goku the monkeyking's topic in General Chat
WORSHIP US! Lol, kidding. Awwww, that's a real pickle. I find myself in a smililar situation with a guy friend at the moment. Although I'm not sure if he knows or not and I don't want to tell him in case it ruins everything. Don't stop hanging out with her, she wont like that ... although, if you REALLY are going out on a leap try the old "play it mean, keep em keen concept". A guy once told me about that, play it cool, give a little cold shoulder now and then and they'll wonder whats up and voila. Hmmm, I still dunno bout this, but hey! Sorry us girls are such a pain, but hey, you's are no better! Lol! -
Your never too old to start learning. Welcome!

LOL! That was like me and dragon ball z years back. I loved that show! haha! Fav one ... BRANDON! Lol! I liked him better then his dad anyways *dodges flying fruit* He just had such a unique character. Jet Li is such a hottie and is always in movies with great storie lines ... and he's such a romantic, lol! But Jackie takes the cake, that man has style! And I love a movie that you can laugh in and be entertained NON-STOP! I mean how many movies have action that's funny. Never get tired of watching him! Love "The Tuxedo"

It didn't exactally have heaps of martial arts in it, but "The Crow" is probably my all time favourite after "Cradle 2 the Grave". Brandon Lee is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO adorable and he just has the graceful movement in everything he does. I wish he was still making movies today And the lines, LOL. Only thing better then an old fighting movie is the lame, yet extremely creative dialogue. Top movie!

Hey hey all. Just sort of stumbled upon these forums in a random search and thought they looked great, joined straight away. Little overwhelmed, there are just so many smart people on here ... when it comes to martial arts anyway - hehe. Anyway, names Megan, and I did Karate for about 3 years and have trialed Tai Kwan Do and Wing Chun. At the moment I've sort of come to a stand still because I'm having trouble finding a class that has suitable times. But like the site and look out for me around!
