White Belt (1/10)

  1. No. I don't think an explanation is necessary either.
  2. he said which he managed to avoid, not easily avoided. for all we know the guy threw a jab and then charged him. when i've got a couple of shots of vodka in me, i'm quicker, more limber, focused, agressive, and pain is non existent. i've been told i'm twice as hard to take down. i'm pretty sure this guy wasn't pissey drunk.
  3. Here's a clinch tip that works well for me: If you're shorter than your opponent, wrapping your wrists around his neck, squeezing and pulling down while you assault him with knees will make him struggle to let go, because it's hard for him to breathe, and rib shots HURT! BUT. If you're taller than your opponent, while you're hands are wrapped around his neck and tighten your grip, then with every knee you throw put your foot slightly behind when it left the ground. If you do it fast enough, you'll pull your opponent forward as you back up, giving him little time to attack as he's advancing and trying to block and dodge your knees.
  4. of course...the sting is kind of comforting, like it lets you know that you did the kick correctly.
  5. i'm sorry about your friend too, it's very unfortunate. you guys are acting like i said i let a truck drive over my shins daily. i said lightly, with pine drumsticks, over the course of two years, and it usually followed a bag workout. i don't run around kicking trees or breaking vodka bottles on my legs guys.
  6. i spent 2 years lightly hammering on my shins with drumsticks, and as the months grew on i increased and increased until i was beating on them pretty hard. pain tolerance has gone waaaaaaay up too, either that or i killed some nerves. i wouldn't reccommend this for everybody.
  7. anyone condition their shins differently than the mind numbing, endless repetitive kicking of the bag?
  8. i found a place to hang out with thai heads a lot of you seem to be from abroad, which is great... ...maybe we can learn something from eachother. see ya around.
