White Belt (1/10)

  1. It’s that new show on cartoon network that has the cool graphics and the crazy looking biplanes. I caught a glimpse of it and it looked pretty cool but I couldn’t tell what it was about. Have any of you seen any full episodes of it yet and can describe it a bit? (theres a https://www.stormhawks.com that has some info)
  2. I’ve just been getting into it recently, and it’s pretty new but it seems like the community is already getting bigger. So I was wondering, who else is using it to buy and sell ringtones and stuff, and how has it been working? (it’s at http://www.offspot.com, for those of you who haven’t heard of it yet).
  3. health benefit or not, I still drink green tea all day anyway when I'm at home, and when I go to restaurants I order green tea if they have it. I'm an addict. Also, I think it helped me grow back my beard a bit faster.
  4. http://wildanimus.com/ This music really takes you places. I thoroughly enjoyed it all the way through. It paints a picture in your head, not just of the music being played but of what the music is about. Shapero really did an excellent job of capturing the essence of the wilderness and allows the listener to feel a stronger bond with his or her instincts.
  5. i was about to go on a long car ride yesterday so i dug up my PSP and went and bought death junior 2...well, it's actually a great game. it's much better than the first one, in fact its probably one of the best games for the psp. has anyone else played it?.
  6. i have a lil nokia, but i like it a lot. i've been thinking about getting a blackberry or a sidekick, because i'm text messaging all the time. but then again, i might just try to learn how to use the T9 text function: http://www.textfast.t9.com - it's supposed to let you type faster on your number pad...
  7. capoeira isn't all about flying through the air. you can be a good capoerista without performing the acrobatic flourishes. you don't have to be ripped to train, but good training will definitely increase your strength and flexibility. strength in capoeira is really relative to your body - you often will be using your arms to support some/all of your weight....
  8. thanksgiving is my favorite holiday by far. what's not to love about an eating holiday? halloween is quickly becoming my least favorite holiday. i'm all for costumes and candy and stuff, but lately the holiday is seeming cheesy to me. it's like even things that aren't scary are just called "spooky" or "scary" just b/c it october. like this link my friend sent me yesterday: http://creepycrossword.com/ - it's just a puzzle, but i'm supposed to think it's creeeepy. what so scary about a puzzle!?
  9. i went to New College in sarasota for 3 years...
  10. i'd say training online is a pretty bad idea. for any martial art, you need an instructor who knows what they are doing and can guide your progress. every martial art i have studied involves personal adjustments and understanding of the art that you can't get through a video. i'd suggest just working out, get stronger maybe get a punching bag...
  11. at least you've recognized you made a mistake. but yeah...i'd kick someone in the knee before i tried to kick them in the head.
  12. i've been training capoeira for a couple years. it's definitely a MA, just got a different focus, not specifically self defense.
  13. yup, i play the guitar and bass guitar!
  14. they are pretty cool dogs. i friend i grew up with had one!
  15. anybody heard manu chao? great spanish musician!
