He's not the only one... lol. Now that I have that out of the way... I have an ex-girlfriend with 32DDs and she has alot of problems with any weapon... Even ones that don't require cross-over technique. I am just glad that I am a guy! lol
Congratulations on picking one of the most difficult weapons to use! lol. That is not an insult, as I am just now learning to use sais. I am much more experienced with Katana, Boken, or Naginata, myself. Karatedepot.com has some sai instructional videos that my help you out alot.
Most of the strength training that you will need is in the forearms and the shoulders. Keep those muscles strong and limber, and you should be fine... Anticipation is also a powerful tool.
I believe it has to do with eating Korean food (or at least garlic) before promotion testing. I believe that Japanese food is worste... lol OR Mongolian..
Many students don't put faith in their instructors precisely BECAUSE instructors are not 'just' trying to help us improve. There are many who are doing it 'just' for the money and could care less about their students... especially if they don't pay. There is no drama to this scene. People are people, regardless of whether they are students or instructors. One cannot dismiss human failings merely because of belt rank. An instructor is not just a title... It is the whole lifestyle of the person. If the person giving the lessons is just in it only for the money, then that person doesn't deserve the title of instructor. A true instructor has to teach with all of his heart for the right reasons.
But, do I have ENOUGH time... The tournament is October 29th... Also, do you think it would help my flexibility if I HELD the splits for like... 5 minutes on each side?
