White Belt (1/10)

  1. In the front passenger seat, i grabbed the keys out when the driver was starting the car [i have keys in right hand]. The driver attacks me with fists [counterd/grabbed his left fist with my right]. Driver attacks with right fist; pummeling. [my right holds onto keys and his left, my left struggles with his right] I have xperience in chinna joint locking/controlling and a style similar to judo. so im ok with close quarters. however inside a car was a little too close. can anyone give any advice or tequnique ideas? Assuming that besides the keys which are currently unusable because im grabbing with that hand, i am unarmed
  2. found it! http://mitglied.lycos.de/gottesanbeterin/e_tutorial.htm here's an online guide to the mantis form, i emailed it to myself from another computer and lost the email. then i thought about checking the "sent" folder
  3. i know there's one somewhere out there on the web (because i've seen it). but now i lost the url. does anyone know it? the site had and online guide to the mantis style form
  4. hm... im taking all this into consideration, but i think my main problem is that im having a hard time moving from practice speed to actual speed. and i also seem to only use certain movements instead of all my movements for some reason.... i'll just hav to see what happens!
  5. im also a newb whos currently taking swai jiao kung fu. i find it effective, plenty of throws (yay!)
  6. m........ im a noob to kung-fu, although i've already learned many ways to win the fight in 2 sec. I sparred today and lost 3 times in a row! ahg! i think my mishpas were that 1. i just saw a martial arts movie which tends to make u forget what ur supposed to do 2. first spar so im not used to making hard grips (could have won that first spar had i not relinquish my grip) and 3. isnt it just plain stupid to throw a kick in there when the opponent is totaly focused? uh....
