  1. I saw in one interview, one of manny's idol is Bruce Lee, and he said he got tips watching him...interesting. What can you guys say about this?
  2. Okay, I'll post a match-up then the next person would decide who will win and how he/she would do that, then it is his/her turn to post a match-up again... Okay' I'll start.. Batista vs Cena Batista..Cena will try the FU but Batista will pull free and do the Spear. He would then finish Cena with a Batista Bomb. Triple H vs HBK Sean Michaels
  3. Cross over, then step back, then pivot then jump..
  4. sword and shield..that's why this combo was used by armies for centuries...
  5. I have been fencing for 5 years too...the problem is, I want to know classical fencing too...
  6. yeah, I'll try to post it as soon as i can
  7. the joker..he really made the dark knight a blockbuster film..
  8. okay, i was given this sanzibar sword, a traditional filipino (particularly Waray, in the western visayas) sword/tool that is used very much to this day as an all around weapon/tool. It can last for a generation. I mean, my grandmother owns one, and its older than me! haha...i can remember my father using it to cut wood. The only killing i think the sword was used for was to kill snakes. For beauty it might fail your expectation, but usefulness is another thing altogether.
  9. I really want to learn classical fencing..i tried looking at the internet manuals, and did some footworks, comparing it with the sport fencing i know...but i feel im doing a bad job. It's really different if you have a master to teach you and answer your questions.
  10. haha, been fleeting in and out lately bushido_man96, I just graduated and now i have the time (and resources ) to go back to my martial arts training...im still doing fencing once a week, but im semi-retired now in the sport..hehe..anyway, i'll check any more about arnis as i have the time now. I want to do unarmed sport like aikido now..
  11. sorry for the late reply bushido_man96..I've gotten hold of a sanzibar last december 2007. I will post a picture a soon as i can. Its basically a straighter version of the bolo. It is forged only in one town in the province of leyte, eastern visayas region of the philippines. I went there for my thesis research (world war II), so I passed the town.
  12. yes, after almost a year since my last post here, i'd still choose the broomstick. haha
  13. Sorry, It has been a long time since I last posted so I'm a bit disoriented...but now that I have time again to train, I want to study Aikido. The problem is, the more I read about it, the more styles and systems I see. The nearest dojo from my home is a member of the Ki Society... I don't know how to differentiate each systems, except on philosophies..can anyone tell me the specifics? Any thoughts on the matter? Thanks in advance to all the loyal members of Karate Forums!!! I am all in your debt...
