Yes it was a real shame about Brandon, just imagine on what could of been! As he showed in Rapid Fire he can do the moves and make it look great. And he was becomming a great actor as well, and with his name and contacts it could have been ...well bigger than "bruce lee". I have never seen kung fu hustle but it got so many reviews when it came out and was such a big deal I dont know how I missed it.

Hi all I too am interested in this. Also how much swing do you get out of striking and kicking such a heavy bag and is this one the most heavy? I am planning to attach our product to the heavy bag to offer some parry training and ability to strike and step around the bag at the same time but we dont want it to swing too much.

wow thanks for the thread I am now googling The Prodigal Son and will check it out - it has great reviews. Not really a traditional wing chun film but I loved Rapid Fire with some short and sweet moves.

I must say the instructor doesnt sound like a friend. Also after 6 years couldn't you offer to help instruct the new guys?

I think any training in trapping has boxing application especially if you dont step backwards but only forward on the opponent. Fighting to end it and boxing to get points are different and you dont want to get them confused

The main system I trained in had no form or karta. Its the only system of chinese style I know that doesnt have this. It uses formula fighting and no predetermined anything..

Is this a type of kung fu system or just the name of the school? Laugar, I never heard of it?
