  1. Just because your instructor has a tendency to bounce like a boxer, and likes to hit to the head, is no reason to address him as 'Little Bunny Foo Foo' and tell him you're tired of being bopped.
  2. How does a belt around my stomach hold up pants around my hips? Is this some kind of Seekrit Obi-waza?
  3. When you're grappling, and you use your feet to push your partner off you...and he grabs the leg of your pants as he falls back, taking them with him. And the underwear you're wearing is black lace. *facepalm*
  4. When you're in a play, and your character is supposed to swoon gracefully...you tuck your head and slap the stage. The rest of the drama kids nearly died laughing. I just lay there going, at least I didn't kiai.
  5. When you have the following conversation: ME: Mum, what are the warning signs of a concussion? MUM: Good class, honey? ME: Excellent class. When the guidance counselor takes you aside because they think your boy/girlfriend's abusing you, because of the constant bruises up and down your arms.
  6. Call the instructor a disgusting sadist. Who knew sound carried so well in a dojo? Forget that judo is a GRAPPLING martial art...and sidekick your uke. Alternatively, forget that Tae Kwon Do is NOT...and flip your sparring partner. Yes, ladies and gents, I have done all these things. *wince*
  7. Hello! I am, as you can see, new. I practice Judo (I am the worst Judo student ever) and Tae Kwon Do. My username is from a running gag at my dojang: because I am a smart aleck, I once loudly proclaimed to my partner when I was holding the pad for him that I was a sensitive and delicate flower who would wilt from such treatment, so if he kicked my hand again I was going to break his foot...And naturally as I did there was a freak lull in the noise of the class and everyone heard it. And now, I am irrevocably the sensitive and delicate flower. And a question: from perusing the martial arts websites and forums, I get the impression that tae kwon do is considered the redheaded stepchild under the stairs of martial arts. Why? (Please note I am not trying to start anything, I am just curious.)
