Hey guys, just joined this forum and it sounds like yall know what youre talking about. Im in university, and my friend has cast me in the lead role of his 4th year film project, with takes place in fuedal japan. My character is required to engage is various sword duels, as well as a kata. the fights im not worried about, we're really aiming for crowd-pleasing action rather than authentic kenjutsu. (before you ask, yes, we are being safe about all of this). Its the kata that im worried about. i dont want to make one up for fear of it looking stupid, so i was wondering if you know of any videos/movies that i can copy one from. ive got about 2 + 1/2 months to perfect it so its ok if its a little advanced. Also, if you have any tips on basic training and such it would be greatly appreciated. I have access to bokken and metal swords.
