  4. To solve your problem, go out and buy a dehumidifier. Sounds like moisture has gotten in your bag. You'll probably have to open the bag so that the contents can lose the moisture that has built up inside. Hope that helps...
  5. Have you tried googling? There are many online vendors to choose from. If you need a list, let me know.
  6. I'd go for ProForce as well. With Mizuno, a lot of the difference you will pay in price will be for the brand name.
  7. I've seen wood boards 3/8 of an inch thick, 1/2 of an inch thick and 1 inch thick. They come in varying sizes and are usually made of Pine because it is a soft, yet cheap wood. They make great kindeling in the winter once they've been used. cathal... did you want to know where to buy the re-breakable boards? Just try a google search.

  9. A lot of the newer gear that the MA stores are showing touts a "double" layer of protection. Basically, it is thicker than normal gear. I'm pretty comfortable with it... but you might not be. Either way, look for it out the next time you are shopping.
  10. U can't go wrong with Tokaido. On the flip-side, my brother-in-law wears the ProForce 14 oz. uniform and swears by it. Both can be found here: http://www.karatekorner.com/index.cfm/action/hyperlinksearch/searchfield/tokaido.htm

  12. I find it hard to believe that he would not have commercialized himself more as he grew older. (A lot of the greats have.) I'm not saying he would be 'hawking gear' with infomercials, but perhaps he would have had many small ventures to help pay the bills. My $0.02
  13. It's all about looking cool... ... actually, it's all about traction!
  14. Welcome to the board! Enjoy your time here... you'll learn a lot.

  17. ProForce is the way to go. Personally, I don't like anything impeeding my vision.
  18. Gotta love white oak. Now, if I only had the resources to make my own... I have several dozen white oak trees (and some Ash) in my backyard!
  19. Gotta love the X-Ray vision! I'd choose Lance Armstrong. He certainly has some super-human stamina and endurance. I'd love to be able to apply those traits to the martial arts.
  20. I remember watching them years ago. Anyone know where I can view them today? Cartoon Network?
  21. Earl grey... all the way.
  22. Who is John Prescott?
