  1. I think TigerHeart meant for the majority of thai kickboxers and not the minority. Most thai kickboxers do come from a poor background and train from a young age. They train every day and not just as a hobby, but to be able to eat and support their family with very low wages if any. It's well known that smaller thais commonly ripp apart larger 'American' opponents in the ring.
  2. I use to take karate classes at the YMCA then my mom moved us into the city where I wanted to take classes at the local Cobra Kai dojo, but this kid from highschool that I hate was a senior insturctor. Instead I learned karate from this japanese man that was manager of our apartments... Oh wait. Thats the karate kid. Forget I said anything. I hate cardio-kickboxing!
  3. I only use this when it is critical (as in a hate someone) I grab him by the ears or hair and ram the crown of my head into his face. When he drops back from the force of the charge, I mount and I repeatedly do it again and again, holding his head back to the ground. So far... no one has defended it. Although I know how to defend against it.
  4. Outside of training hall, I always use a low slash kick (Muay Thai) to the knees (direct to the side of the knee or above the cap). I throw with 100% power. Set up first with a fake to the head. 8 out of 10 times, the opponent could not stand. I could walk away.
  5. In grade 10 this idiot football player charged at me. I stepped to the side a bit and initiated an jumping back kick to his solar plexus. He dropped like a sack of potatoes and started to vomit his lunch.
  6. If walking away was so easy, he would have walked away and be the end of it. Protect yourself if needed and prove a point. If the next time anyone tries anything and it's not so easy, they will think twice.
  7. And I heard Coke invented Pepsi while Pepsi claims it invented Coke. But not enough solid fact because the executives torched the original plans of it's origins. Can anyone tell me if this is true? I'll drink both as long as it quenches my thirst. Thank you!
  8. Get one on your forehead with invisible ink that you can only see at night (because it glows) that says... KARATE and a picture of yourself giving two thumbs up!
  9. I see little kids from town with brown and black belts (it's like every kid in TKD has one now). I'm thinking give them another year and they will be Grandmaster. I want to wait til they are in highschool to see what rank goes pass Grandmaster... I think it's Lord of TKD! But one cannot compare little buddahs with adult buddahs, that would be too silly.
  10. I say let those kids and adults have the black belts. Eventually there will come a time when they are defeated and that black belt will mean absolutely nothing. They will look back and it will be a waste of time because it gave them a false power. HA, HA, HA, HA... plus TKD is not the most dominant sport in full-contact martial arts. It's mainly a great sport. As a side note: Most of my friends quit TKD because of the 'give the kid a black belt' because parents paid for it! This is more common with TKD than any other art from my personal experiences.
  11. Not training for practical combat purposes is like saying I go to school 'not to learn.' But I think this article is to let us think, it creates conflict with differences. People should just train for what they think is right and let the actions of life define 'Right or Wrong.' In the attempt to tell someone to think outside a personal view, it confines them to ours and we contradict the fact of difference. Just exist.
  12. Does anyone do MMA on here? If so, which MMA glove do you use and what are the PROs and CONs. What would you like to see or change about the product?
  13. It's not common practice to remove silkscreening as the paint is usually embedded into the fabric. If it's not then you will be charged at least $80.00 to removie it. An alternative is to buy the same fabric and cover the logo.
