  3. I suggest doing both Unless you aer going to visit them at there other studio...
  4. No I was just saying that McDojo sounds like what they could call McNuggets in Japan.... Thats all
  5. My Studio Doesnt really care because the instructor is going out with a student anyways
  6. McDojo Sounds like what they call a McNuggets in Japan
  7. Took me 9 years but... I spent 3 years in the "kid classes" untill i was 8 then it took me 6 years after that at ... lets see.... 5 hours a week plus school etc.... yeah 6 years
  8. YEah but the scale doesnt go like that. He was practcing Aikido, TKD, JuJitsu, And Mauy Tauy. HE has a few blackbelts in those.
  9. Thats pretty much what we do.. we do all of the above except are instructors read out the rank and then we get the belt. you shake their hands then bow. then you run behind the lines and sit down and tie your belt on.
  10. Using spacers is a whole nother aspect of brick breaking... u can use different techniques then u do if u do a "solid" break. Like you qouldnt use just your hand... you would use your Whole body in with the blow
  11. A while back... bout a year ago I got into a fight or started to, right in front of a teacher. He was watching what was going on. This kid threw a big John Wayne Overhand and I blocked it as hard as I could and I almost broke the kids arm. since a teacher saw this so i didnt get suspended but this other kid did for 3 days. My advice. Block before you attack.. and if you have to attack. attack un notacibly like a low kick to the shin or somthing low. just dont do it too hard because if the guy bends over the teacher will think you are the aggressor and you will get suspended. But the best thing to do is just to walk away and pay no attention to them. Just if you do walk away make sure there not following.
  12. My instructor is about 27 and anyways he was walking down a street and this person went up and knocked the coffee out of his hands. he yelled at the man "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU" and a cop started to run over and He yelled back "My father worked at ford you cant hurt me" The man was mental. ANyways my instructor had put the guy in a lock and took him to the ground. The cop saw this and put him in cuffs. He told the officer that he was verbally abused and that he felt threatened. and the officer was like "yeah whatever" an this one kind lady came running over to the officer and said, "That man just tried to pick a fight with 5 other people". Long story short, the person who is usually at fault is the one who is throwing the attacks. threw the first blow or the one that is not looking like crap and the other person is. So if you do, do any martial arts on somebody you have to remember the consequences After all it takes more courage to walk away from a fight then to start it or finish it.
  13. My Older sisters friend Has a 5th Dan In Tae kwon do. and a couple of fourth dans in some other areas. when i see him I will ask him. He is only like 23 years young too.
  14. Does Judging count? Well I go to AAU national and state tournements and I even went to the Junior Olympics held in Michigan a few years ago. Those are fun. AS far as Judging goes we have inner club tournaments for fun and for free. I get to judge there. Its all fun
