White Belt

White Belt (1/10)

  1. nowt wrong wit that its good having someone to relate and talk abut your training with aslong as u dontget to disttracted i suppose
  2. Always remember to tie your gi bottoms properly before training as I could imagine it would be a little embarrasing if they were to fall down whilst performing a kata infront of everyone
  3. Where I train we have separate classes for juniors and adults but some (like me) do both classes in order to get some extra training in. Im just sixteen hav just moved to the adult class( although I currently do both)
  4. Well done mate! I know very well how nerve raking and hard to relax it is at gradings, and Ive probably made similar mistakes
  5. AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH Those evil playschool people. I would hav cried my eyes out if that had happened to my black belt (although I hav not yet gained black belt). Back to the subject I beleive that people shud earn there respect in other ways other than making there belt look tatty.
  6. near york - east yorkshire
  7. wow great explanation Aodhan Ive never heard that before. I like the way each colours meaning is related to the persons training. Although my assosiations belt colours too are in a different order.
  8. Purple and white belt (4th kyu) shotokan. hopefully doing brown belt this august
  9. reverse punch, push hips through then head height round house kick (mawashi geri) with back leg placing foot down to the front
  10. I think different things drive different martial artists, but the thing that drives me is acheivement and also it helps if you enjoy what you do as I thoroughly enjoy karate and the training sessions I go to are really good which is probably why Ive stuck at it and will continue to. great thread!!!!!!!
