  1. Well, I know Ichikyu, Nikyu, Pinan Shodan, and Naihanchi Shodan. Wow, a yellow belt knowing a green belt kata.... Hm, interesting. I would know Sankyu, but that kata class wasn't long enough, so I only know a third of it.
  2. I like to play video games a lot in my spare time. I love band, my life revolves around it. I am sad to say, I love it more than the MA, but oh well. I also do a lot of creative writing and drawing.
  3. Thinking... karate-kid do. You learn it by watching the Karate Kid movies over and over and over...
  4. LMAO! Dude, those are awesome!
  5. Ugh... I'd rather not think about that... So far, I've managed to avoid grappling with the teenage boy in our dojo, and I'd like to keep it that way.
  6. Hmm... I haven't been in MA long enough to have an embarassing story but I have one. I got partnered with my boyfriend for the first time, so I was nervous. We were supposed to do a double backfist, 3/4 punch to the stomach, and then nail them on the knee-cap. Of course, I'm still freaked out of my wits because it's my first month in the adult class, I'm not used to this kind of stuff. Well... once I kind missed his knee-cap... I think I hurt his pride.
  7. I do not normally have problem training with guys. The only one I have a problem with is my boyfriend, and I always lose my focus around him. We partner occasionally, but I'm running to Kieran for now so I can work on my control. I have practice close quarters with him, it was shameful how many times I cracked up (what can I say? In a few hours, we were going to go on a band trip and sit in the same seat!) There are only about three women in the advanced class, so I am rather used to training with guys. I've trained with guys all my life, whether it be T-ball or cross country (I just realized today the brown belt in our dojo is probably related to one of the boys I ran CC with... Now THAT'S strange to me). My problem is not being string enough, compared to being afraid to hurt people. I know they can take it, I have problems getting up the power.
  8. I bowed at a roller coaster once I got off, saluting the bravery of the people at the top.
  9. Hmm... Lesse... "Oh, there's the brown belt pervert" "Why am I staring at the back of green-belt-boy's head again?", "how the heck does Sensei do that?!" , "I'm hungry" , "I wanna talk to green-belt-boy.. BAD ATALANTA! *mentally slaps self*" , "I have to go to the bathroom", and finally "Man, it's hot in here..."
  10. To give you an idea of how happy we were, we really did come jumping and screaming out of the dojo (yes, I know. really undignified.) All three of us love karate, but band... it demanded we be there so much. Participating in the normal classes would have been out of the question due to scheduling conflicts. Wow, three full months of Aikido... I can't wait. We shall all be white belts and none of us should rank over the other (this comes from the lowest ranking of the three, you would think I cared more). Needless to say, I am rather pleased with this compromise. *does disco dance* Thanx for your time.
