Yellow Belt

Yellow Belt (2/10)

  1. Depends on style. My style/school: White Orange Blue Yellow Green Brown Black
  2. Trying to enhance my Pinan sono ni here...
  3. I am still learning the art of tying the belt... ¬¬
  4. Usually it's always better to have a stance as wide as the distance from one shoulder to the other.
  5. Kyokushinkai 8th Kyu(Blue Belt), graded yesterday.
  6. I am so goddamn happy, it was kind of hard, more on the physical requirements than knowledge, but I passed and now I have my blue belt at last. We had to do the full Kihon which is: Seiken Chudan Tsuki Seiken Yodan Tsuki Uraken Gamen Uchi Uraken Sayo Uchi Uraken Hiso Uchi Uraken Mawachi Uchi Seiken Ago Uchi Seiken Chita Tsuki Higi Yoko Yodan Uchi Seikein Yodan Uke Seiken Chudan Soto Uke Seiken Chudan Uchi Uke Seiken Gedan Barai Seiken Uchi Uke Gedan Barai Chutou Gamen Uchi Chutou Sakotsu Uchi Chutou Sakotsu Uchi Komi Chutou Uchi Uchi Chutou Hiso Uchi Mae Keage Uchi Mawachi Soto Mawachi Hisa Keri Kin Keri Mae Keri Mawachi Keri Yoko Keage Kansetsu Keri Yoko Keri Uchiro Keri Then, we had to stand on our knuckles for 30 secs(I didn't know about this, so I nearly didn't pass...), 30 pushups on our knuckles, Taikyoku Ichi, ni, san, Jumping a 1.5m obstacle with Yoko Tobi Keri, breaking a board with Chutou, and 1min Kumite... I am SO GODDAMN HAPPY.
  7. I haven't gone on any, but my sensei has been planning a mountain trip for a while.
  8. At my dojo, minimum age for shodan is 13years, not sure about nidan though.
  9. 10th Kyu(Godwilling, 8th by end of week) here, also, pushups here depend on grading, whites usually do them regular, I and some others do them with my knuckles, and from 2ndkyu onwards, on 2 fingers.
  10. We bow to satan... Seriously, you bow to the sensei and sosai.
  11. Ong Bak is anything but Karate, it's still good, but not Karate. Fighter in the wind is very good, yes.
  12. 1.5 hours 3 times a week.
