  1. I believe Chi does exist. As a novice I haven't yet really come across it in a combat situation, however I have sensed it at other times, through shiatsu and acupressure. So there. [/img]
  2. that's the way we're taught too (though if I had a penny for every time Sifu has moaned at me about that....I would have a lot of pennies!!) It makes sense to sink into stance as if you are being "hunch backed" in training surely you're leaning forward/off balance anyway?
  3. I am a girl and I love wing chun. There are about 20 guys to every woman in my class, but we all get treated the same!
  4. I too am a christian and have been doing research into chi for a while now. There has been a lot thrown into the discussion to think about. Whether or not chi is a spiritual force or can be explained in terms of physics, I still haven't made my mind up - at the moment I think it may be a bit of both. As for whether Christians should be involved in using chi/ki, the more I think about it the more I'm convinced it depends on your starting point and also the attitude with which we individually approach it. For intance, I have no problem with the chi existing and doing what it does, but the function and place it has is assigned by God.
