White Belt (1/10)

  1. My brother lives in St Charles, I was there a couple of years ago, I think there was a Kuk Sool Won school on the main road, i can not remember the name of the road but one of my neices friends trained in KSW. Is there different organizations? Tang Soo Mikeb
  2. My first break was a reverse punch thru one board, I worked up to 4 boards, but now i prefer knife hand and elbow, for kicks I like step side and front kick mikeb
  3. if you draw blood at some of the tournaments I have been at your gone disqualified. So check you must Mikeb
  4. lack of meaningful face punching in training/sparring, facilitating the erosion of form. kickcatcher Can you explain this concept to me? If you pound me in the face in the Dojang I might take offense...if I miss to many days at work, due to training, my boss will take offense. Thank you Mikeb
  5. Master Powlette Congratulations to your wife (if I were to mispell her name I am dead meat....lol) Could you explain the Shinia hits to the wrist, Michael asked me about it and I was stuck for an answer Thank you Mikeb
  6. I have been hearing about this since I started to go to Master Macs web site, I would like to try to attend. Thanks for the info Mikeb
  7. Of course some practioners can do "sick techniques" 540 spinning back kicks, tornado kicks and such, but I would not try anything such as that in a self defense situation. Of course at my age if I tried it they would have to cart me away on a strecther.....lol MB
  8. it took my daughter almost 4 years to make black belt in TSD, even if your are very talented I do not think the same information or expeience can be conveyed in 2 years, JMHO Tang Soo MB
  9. it took me 7 years and some change to get Cho Dan, I decided to go back to college in the middle after that 2 tears to Ee Dan 3 years to Sam Dan test, just tested last week My son was 6 years to Cho Dan, after that regular TSD waits he'll test for Sam Dan in Oct My daughter 3.5 years for Cho Dan and test for Ee Dan in Oct I guess my son and I are just slow learners, I think if you make all your tests 3.5 years is the quickest you can test for Cho Dan. My brother trains in TKD in Virginia and he said he will be testing for Cho Dan in about 2 years total training time Tang Soo mike
